Born in Winterthur, Switzerland. Grew up in a small village in the canton of Thurgau. Two grown-up sons.
Apprenticeship as a nurse. Diploma in palliative care, university degree in psychological competence in communication. The desire to help people was there from an early age. I have been supporting and caring for mentally and physically ill people for over 20 years.
As a former managing director and accountant of a company in Switzerland, I have the necessary expertise to run a company.
I love discovering foreign countries and cultures, so I travelled to Hurghada Egypt for the first time in 2021. I immediately fell in love with the country, the people and the Red Sea. Even as a child, I was magically drawn to the sea and its inhabitants. I discovered my love for nature and its protection at an early age. Empathy, openness and communication characterise me. At the beginning of 2023, I took the definitive step of moving from Switzerland to Hurghada and founded the company “Karin Star”.
Born and raised in Luxor, Egypt. Two children. I completed the military and worked as a craftsman and electrician.
In 2012 I moved to the sea, to Hurghada. I trained to become a licensed snorkelling guide and diving instructor. Freediving is my passion. With now 12 years of experience in water activities, I am the ideal partner for the tours.
